'22 Lariat 3.5 EB. Within 24 hrs my battery went from fully charged to deep sleep and when I checked the voltage the next morning (37 hrs after last driving) it was at 11.86 volts. The last time it was driven was for about 1.5 hrs and has been driven daily.
Is anyone else still having issues with this? I found complaints going back to at least 2018 about mysterious battery drains.
I understand many of the electronics stay alive even when the truck is off. But 24 hrs is a bit extreme.
Anything I should check? I will be checking the voltage every morning for a few days and see if it is a constant issue.

Be nice if you could insert an ammeter between the positive battery lug and the terminal connector to see what kind of ambient/passive draw that you get when the truck is off. (don't try to START it and in fact keep the key OFF otherwise you'll roast your meter if it's like most DVMs!) I don't have a baseline for what it should be but I would think that anything above 100mA (.1 amps) would be suspect. Could just be a batch of bad batteries that have a dud cell.

Picked up my 2022 3.5 EB in mid-January and went into deep sleep the second week I had it, even after being used as a daily driver. Took it to dealer and they said battery was fine and "charged it for an hour." Now over a month later I go the deep sleep message again. Back to dealer...

I could use an DVM and check draw but with out knowing acceptable limits its useless info right? It's like telling someone to check their tire pressure but them not knowing what the acceptable range is.
According to Ford it will enter deep sleep after 14 days of inactivity (it won't make it nearly that long) OR the battery drops to below 9.5v...seems a liitle late doesn't it. At that point the battery is already toast.
And at 2 months old it shouldn't be an issue. I'm just gonna keep an eye on it and see what happens.

Hi there! Can you send us a PM with your VIN and Ford dealership information? I’d be happy to look into this F-150 concern on my end.

Had something just like that to my '21. Mine goes to sleep in about 4 days of no use. One morning after truck had been used the day before the battery showed 4.5 volts. It took over an hour at 10 amps to get it to where truck would start. Service manager said something must have got "stuck" and drained the battery. He said keep an eye on it if it happens again. I think I have a flakey Ford battery. That was about a month ago and no problems since. It will probably die just at the wrong time in the middle of nowhere with no cell service. Just my luck.

I actually just got the deep sleep mode message on Fordpass today for the first time on my 22. I sat in it for an hour at lunch with the "key on". After I got out and locked it I got the message on my walk back in the office. Is it normal to go into deep sleep after an hour of radio etc.?

My truck has been doing this pretty much since I got it. The dealer service department is terrible and just blows me off until they say they charged the battery and couldn't find anything. They won't give a loaner or a rental so it's incredibly frustrating to have to take it back a third time. Going to lemon this truck if it doesn't get fixed this time.

The day before I washed and cleaned the inside of the truck. When doing the interior I had the doors open and ignition and radio on but wouldn't think that a battery would drain so fast. I can listen to the radio in my older cars for hours without issue but maybe with all of the electronics in these newer trucks it's a huge drain.
The truck started the next day (day of low battery and deep sleep mode) and didn't crank any slower.

My '17 5.0 has done this from new in moderately cold conditions (-20c).
The first time was when the truck was only 7 months old. I had to explain to the dealership what Deep Sleep mode was, as they had never heard of it. They tested the battery, and it was still in spec according to them, but after I had been driving it for a few days from the occurrence.
It happens once or twice a winter, and is annoying when to trying to start it remotely...first world problems I guess.

When I went to leave work that day it crunk no problem and I haven't seen it again since so I guess the accessory on just drains pretty fast??

My 2021 Lariat does this about once a month, I put a charger on it. The charger shows it is about 50%. After a full charge it usually takes about a day to go back to normal. Guess I just need to start doing a charge every 3-4 weeks.
