not sure, i imagine based on the 21 and 22 are "NEW" they should be the same. you just need to download the body builder book at ford fleet

Looks like it is supposed to be the larger battery, I have an appointment next month, will point this out to them.

I have been getting the deep sleep mode notification regularly which I assume is because I don't drive my truck much but I just saw this thread and just checked my battery and I have the 720A battery when I should have the 800A one. Do you think if I call my local Ford dealer they will replace it with an 800A one?

a ford REP on this site i think was also instrumental in talking to my dealer or warranty, becasue when i made the appointment to have ti replaced, there was zero question and it got done
in fact my dealer told me they had never seen one with the 800 amp hr battery. that makes you think???
overall i was very pleased with ford and dealer response.
in fact up until last week i had zero battery issues following,
i caused the sleep mode this week, from me in and out of truck a lot during the wash and wax cycle
i dropped a charger on it and boom all good

My 2021 Lariat does this about once a month, I put a charger on it. The charger shows it is about 50%. After a full charge it usually takes about a day to go back to normal. Guess I just need to start doing a charge every 3-4 weeks.
How often and for how long do you drive your truck?
Modern vehicles have more stuff that requires electrons even while off so you can't leave them alone for months at a time and not enough driving (charging) time won't sufficiently recharge a battery, so some people (maybe you) may need to use chargers...but after driving my truck everyday, and sometimes for hours a day entering deep sleep in 2 days isn't ecceptable.

I am a low mileage driver with my F-150, I have had it since December 2021 and just now hit 5000 miles. I have other vehicles. I drive it almost everyday but maybe only 3-5 miles sometimes.

I had this issue with my 20 Ranger a lot during Covid. Turns out Ford by default has the max state of charge for the battery set to 80% (12.3-12.5v). Go 2-3 days or more without starting/driving the truck and the onboard systems like the perimeter alarm would easily pull the battery down to 12.0v (50%) charge state and trigger Deep Sleep.

You can use Forscan to increase the SOC level to 90-95% and all but eliminate the deep sleep alerts. I did it on both my Ranger and F150 and have not had a single deep sleep alert since.

Forscan change; BCM Look for Battery State of charge and change it from 80 to 95 or go into BCM (AS Built), 726-08-02 (xxxx xx05 F0) = 95% Target State of Charge

After applying the BCM update go for an 8-10 mile drive and the system to now bring the max battery voltage from 12.3-12.5v to about 13.0v. This increases the time the truck can sit not being driven from 1-2 days to a week or more before the deep sleep power reserve kicks in.

Update::
According to my Ford dealer there was a SB or some other Ford recommended update/reflash etc and the problem is that some of the apps tend to stay active when the truck is off and causes excessive battery drain. Something to do with the Ford Pass or Ford Apps...not sure which ones...or if it will even fix the issue. Time will tell.

UPDATE - constant deep sleep/remote features turned off fix.

After another dealer trip they finally said my battery failed and replaced it under warranty. It had gotten so bad that even with a 1.5 hour trip it would go into deep sleep within an hour of parking.

When I got into truck it had a printout on the seat - SSM 50804: Some 2013-2023 Ford or Lincoln vehicles with modems activated through FordPass or LincolnWay may experience 12 volt battery drain symptoms when the customer uses non-Ford/Lincoln phone applications as an alternate channel to access vehicle commands such as door lock/unlock, remote start, vehicle location, etc. The battery drain may be caused by excessive calls for data through the vehicle network keeping it in an activated state. Recommend that the customer uninstall the app to ensure this is not contributing to battery symptoms experienced. Advise the customer that unaffiliated third-party app developers do not work directly with Ford to adhere to security, vehicle communication, and privacy requirements.

Not sure what this means - is it still ok to use Apple car play? Is that considered an external app - is that what was killing my battery?

No that's not what it means. You are fine with Apple Car Play.

so my 1.5 old truck started with the deep sleep mode. Not sure what to do or if this will go away on its own.
