Having worked for an auto-supplier previously, I can tell you that they will do whatever they can do to please the supplier unless they no longer want the business. Also, I have dealt with shipping/transportation of freight in the past, and shipping companies do not like to send "empty" loads unless they have to, even if it is short distances.Has anyone from Ford phoned you, emailed you and told you these are the issues they are facing? or is this some kind of speculation based on No facts at all? Nobody from Ford has said that this is a major problem to me or my dealer. I prefer to operate on proper information rather than the lunch room chit chat from people that like to talk but have no proof to back up what they say “banter”
And unless you have been living under a rock the past 15 months, you should know that the transportation industry has been an issue. Shipping containers are in short supply compared to pre-COVID times, as are trucks, drivers, and rail transport. I'm not sure why you need someone from Ford to call you and tell you the world is a shit-show right now in terms of nearly anything, it has been obvious to most people since last spring.
