I wanted to post here to see if anybody has any credible insight. These are a couple pictures I took of my engine block looking from the front of the truck (was swapping out intakes). My concern is the flaking/peeling. This truck was built 12/4 as far as I can tell with the e-mails Ford sent me. Posted here because it is the 3.5 Ecoboost. This is my second F-150, had a 2021 and traded it for this. I don’t remember seeing the engine look like this, but I have a random eye for details. Thanks in advance for any helpful info!

Although its probably cosmetic, you paid a lot for that truck im guessing. take it to the dealer and see what they say.

the out layer that touched the mold and the mold was just a bit cool.
its cosmetic, but yes ugly
