While finishing up the suspension overall I figured it would be a good idea to put adjustable eccentric bolts in the front lower control arms to make it a lot easier to align. The last time during the alignment it was a bit tougher just because the truck had be jacked up to be able to slide the control arm in and out. Curious for those of you who did a lift or lowering setup on the front if you put eccentric bolts in, and if you did, what brand you went with. Thanks!

I do my own alignments so I added SPC 86250 camber kits almost immediately after buying my truck.

I did the SPC 86250, but if I was going to do it again, I would go with the 86252. When you're under there, you can see how much better it would be if both the nut side, and bolt head have a leverage point, instead of just the nut side.

Yeah, I'm gonna pick up the 86252 since it's the "heavy duty" version of the 86250. The 86250 is basically the same as the Moog on linked above. I get wholesale pricing at the local parts stores, so I'll just get them locally. Thanks!

STOP! The HD option is NOT for the F150 unless you have an F150 HD. I believe the snow plow option was one way to get the HD. Also the Raptor. The bolts in the 86252 kit are tool big for a standard F150.

I learned this the hard way.

Looking through the instructions there are some additional things needed done to make them fit, and there are two different sized bolts in the kit as well. What issue did you run into? The bolts wouldn't go through the control arm bushing holes?

Yes, you need to drill locating holes for the plates, not a big deal. The the bolts are two different LENGTHS. The DIAMETER of the bolts are the same size. In order to use them you would also at least need to enlarge the slots in the frame brackets. But if you did that, I do not know if they would fit through the bushings on the standard F150 LCA. I tend to doubt it as I am sure the bushings in the Raptor and on a F150HD are a bit larger.

I discovered this after I installed my lift and took it in for an alignment with the 86252 kit.

The shop looked at the kit and let me know it was the wrong kit and would not fit on my truck due to the diameter of the bolts. They had the 86250 kit in stock which they installed on my truck for me and I returned the 86252 kit to Steeda for a refund.

Interesting that they would list them to fit ALL F-150 models and that the diameter of the bolts are different on that kit. Guess I'll just get the 86250 kit then.

Yes, the on line description is misleading but the actual instructions are very clear about Raptor and F150HD.

Not “this is a HD cam bolt kit for the F150.”

Your shop saying this is a bit odd, since both @TexasTruck (POST) and @5.0Screw22 (POST) make no mention of this issue when stalling the 86252 kit on their trucks.

I am confused by this statement. I have installed these on my 2018 F150 Platinum, on my 2019 F150 Limited, and on my 2022 F150 Platinum. I had no issues using the SPC 86252 kits on any of those trucks. Having installed this product myself, I can confirm that the bolts were the correct size for the control arms on all three of those trucks. There was no issue with the diameter of the bolts. It sounds like someone at the alignment shop was the issue.

I had zero issues installing those on my trucks. The 86252 is the way to go. I installed the smaller 86250 kit on a 2014 F150 Platinum that I had several years ago, so I am familiar with both kits. The 86252 kit is far superior product and it makes it a lot easier to make adjustments. The alignment shop loves them! I would never go back to the standard kit. The 86252 is well worth the extra money.

I'm gonna pick up both kits and if the "Heavy Duty" ones don't work, then I'll put the others in.

I have the spc 86252 installed on my 24” f150 lariat with no problems the only thing I needed to do was the drill the little tab holes.
