I just swapped out my strut to a Fox 2.0 keeping the Factory springs at factory height . I followed Ford instructions. I did not touch the bolts on the upper or lower control arms. I had it aligned it rides nicer but seems a tad bouncy. It’s probably because the are different but should I loosen the upper control arms while it’s on its own weight? Apparently it’s ok even adding Fords off-road FoX 2.0. I tend to over think things. Thank you!

In case anyone else runs into this. I loosened the four upper control arm bushing bolts. One of the bushings actually popped. The truck is a different animal now. That bouncy side to side motion is completely gone.
I loosened the bolts while it was on its own weight. I could reach everything with the tires on.

You may have affected the alignment. Take it back to the shop that did it and make an excuse to get them to check it again right quick ;) You did hear a loud pop after all. Might need to check the bolts too.

The only reason I loosened the bolts is because I have an alignment appointment with my dealership the Saturday. The pop was that loud. It was definitely the bushing. Everything tightened up nicely
