Driving Mode

Has anyone found a way/forscan mod to have the truck remember which drive mode it was left in at shut off? I know if I shut it off and turn it back on in a reasonable amount of time it will ask me if I’d like to return to the previous mode, just curious if can be set, similar to “prevent headlamp switch from returning to auto”. Thanks!

Nope, you can't forscan the mode you want.

At least with Tow/Haul mode, I'm given the opportunity to return to that mode when the truck starts.

Yes same with Eco but I think it times out after some amount of time. I think lol

It will always prompt you to return to mode. Have to be quick about it though.

So what I read is regardless of the switch adn what mode it is in when jparked it will ultimately end up in eco mode and I have to manually change it again?

The truck will default back to normal mode on a power/start cycle. You need to change to the mode you want each time.

You get about 5 seconds after starting up to respond to the prompt if you want to return to the last driving mode used. If you don't respond to it the truck will default to Normal mode. Unfortunately you get other alerts that will pop up over the drive mode return prompt and the timer doesn't reset. At least that's been my experience. If you're in a rush, you might miss the prompt.

I have looked through the wiring diagrams that I have and can't find the mode switch. If someone has one I'd really appreciate it. I'm guessing it's a can device. If so, I might take a crack at trying to emulate the communication to try and inject mode selection at startup. Choosing the mode everyone just sucks.
