Drivers Door Rattle - Need A Fix

My 21 XLT has developed a rattle in the drivers door, when going over a sharp bump in the road, in the area of the handle and window switches. I have had it to my dealer three times now. As of the last time they worked on it, the rattle was gone, I thought for good. But, it returned yesterday. I contacted the dealer and was told that they are not going to try and fix it anymore. They said that the door panels have been removed so many times, they refuse to try to fix it again for fear of damaging the panels. I will seek out another dealer and see if they can find and fix the rattle.

My question is, has anyone run into the rattle and what was the cure? On Manitoba's wonderful streets and highways, they are not the smoothest, and the truck being so dam quiet, this rattle gets annoying.

I have a SuperCab, and I stopped the rattle by putting some tape Velcro ( the "loop" or fuzzy side) on the door latch anchors.

Yes, I might use the cloth tape and apply it to the fasteners where the area of concern is. Also, side note, I almost tore my driver's door panel off in the side of the road looking for my rattle. After exhaustive searching while driving I found it was the driver's side rear passenger seat belt was banging on the panel. I stopped, pushed it between the seat and panel. It fixed it and I was so certain it was my driver's door. Not saying this is if your issue but just sharing my situation. Hope you get yours fixed.

I just fixed one on my driver door.
My symptoms were:
- shutting the door I could hear it slightly
- If I banged on the door in the speaker or middle panel area, it would make a noise
- high bass coming from the speaker would cause it to rattle

It turned out that little module just under the door speaker (the back side of it) was hitting the metal on the door it was attached to.

I slipped a piece of dynamat under the module, and wrapped the back of the module with felt tape. All good now!

Thanks guys. My noise is right around the inside door handle and power window switches. Here are the report the tech put on the work orders.

Next step is to find a You Tube Video on removing the door panel and such.
