While this Gorilla tape fix does work, is there anything less janky out there to tighten up the SuperCab door latches to keep them quieter?

Thanks! I think this is a little more involved than I want to or feel like I should have to do to a new truck.

Instead, I wonder if one could 3D print a "sheath" to tighten up the slop in the latch

The design of my old 2006 SuperCab door seals/latches were superior.

I certainly understand that.

FWIW, when I grab the upper front edge of my closed rear door and vigorously try to pull it in/out I have absolutely zero 'play' in the latch - can't get any movement of the door at all. What about yours (without the tape on the striker)?

I don't see an adjustment for that latch or striker in any of the procedures .... makes me wonder if you have a defective latch on the door-side that's not fully 'latching'.

I loath going to dealers for service but this might be a case for doing that - maybe trying the 'pull test' on another SuperCab on their lot to show if yours has 'play' where others do not.

Having to put any sort of wrap on the striker seems janky to me.

Good Luck!

My '14 F150 SCab had a rattle on L-Pass door, I frequently used that door, and the issue was def. the latch was not aligned somewhere by a tiny amount, the "cure" to my problem was to slam it shut hard, and then it wouldn't "knock & rattle" during bumpy roads and off-road.
