Has anyone noticed an intermittent flapping sound coming from the windows when they’re fully rolled up? The noise seems to originate near head height, specifically from the upper rear section of the window. Applying slight pressure to the glass with a finger makes the sound stop, and rolling the window down slightly and back up temporarily resolves it. It only occurs occasionally, usually when there's a perfect combination of crosswind and speed on the interstate. I've heard it on both the driver’s and passenger’s side, but never at the same time.

This is not my video but the sound and location are exactly what I hear.

Wow that would be really annoying. I have a terrible flutter/drumming sound if I'm >40mph with only 1 window down, but have never had an issue with all the windows up.

Basically the trucks are sealed up so tightly (for that nice quiet drive) that any air leak is going to be problematic. And likely difficult to diagnose.
Could be the window is slightly curved, or the door frame/window channel. Maybe you have a bad gasket...

Is this on one specific window? or all of them?

Only the drivers and passenger windows. The crew cab windows in back are silent. Searching on the internet this is an issue people are experiencing from ICE, PB, and EV F150s. Seems to be a gen14 thing. Because it is so intermittent dealers are not addressing it since it is very difficult to replicate. People are trying several DIY fixes but I've not found anything concrete.

I get the same noise as the video by my drivers door if the drivers window is all the way up, barely lowering the window from the full up position stops the noise completely.

Yeah I get it sometimes if the sun has hit the driver window side. I put some aerospace 303 on the weather stripping and that helped some. After I drive a few miles it stops typically. Only hear it occasionally.

I had the same problem on my 2023 F150 on the drivers door. I tried all kind of stuff, but the only thing that really worked was tightening up the door a little bit.

Did it solve it? What specific did you tighten up?

I have this noise pretty consistently above 55 mph and very loud once I get to 70. I saw in another thread one guy isolated it down to the external trim seal between the window and B pillar. He was able to fix it by pulling it out and using some adhesive backed foam like you can get at Home Depot. I haven't have a chance to get mine fixed yet but I was able to pull that trim piece out slightly which would explain the fluttering.

Edit: looks like @The_ogre25 was quicker to reply than me, lol.

I loosened up the door striker and adjusted in just slightly. The door was a little harder to close but it stopped the flapping noise. I tried all the weatherstripping and what not by putting it between the door seal and the door around the top of the window, but that didn’t fix the issue for me.

I've done the 3m tape on the back weather strip which is really on the door behind. That did not work for me either.

I have been leaning towards this seal

That’s actually one place that I didn’t do anything with. In my case it seemed as though the noise was definitely coming from more towards the window frame/door seal than goes around the inside of the front window.

That's the culprit me and the_ogre25 were referring to. Mine is loose enough to pull out though not quite as loose as in the thread he linked.

Edit: I see that pic is actually copied from that thread (post #30). If you look down in the same post you can see how he fixed it.
