Door lock issues 2021 f150

So, I bought a 2021 f150 reg cab short bed truck. XL sport 5.0. Had been in a drivers door and bedside collision before and repaired. Discovered the lock cylinder from the used door that was used was never changed. Purchased the motorcraft lock cylinder, tumbled it properly, and installed it. Key now turns, but doesn’t function as far as locking or unlocking the door. To me, that sounds internal and mechanical. But, these are far from any door I’ve messed with. Has anyone experienced this before? Key fob functions the actuator fine. But the key does nothing short of rotate both directions.
