Looking at Tasca Parts and similar. No parts for 2022 model, but appears from other’s post, 2021 fits. I compared XLT, Lariat, and Platinum parts listings to try and figure this out by process of elimination, but I'm struggling on what four handles I need for Platinum SuperCrew Cab...

OEM Parts stores and Ebay have conflicting descriptions for whether right/left is passenger/driver…
Parts listed with "passive entry" and "passive start" - neither makes sense in my mind for which one is the push-to-lock

FFS, has anyone ordered replacements and can confirm the 3-4 different handle part numbers?

Left should be drivers side, right is passenger side. If your exterior handle just has key hole ,it will show w/o touch open option. The passenger side wont have a keyhole. Another way to solve you dilema is to find a truck with the door handles like you want,then order by VIN on that vechicle

As @Rockman5159 suggested, get the VIN of a Platinum with BAP and search that way through Ford parts.

I’d suggest you call the eBay vendor who buys the OEM handles and paints them in the factory color of your choice. They don’t come painted from Ford, they are primed with PTM (paint to match) part number endings.
Essentially it’s either a smartkey handle or not up front. He can help sort that for you versus trying to make sense of the errant ford parts lookup systems that are public facing.

Be advised, the front ones with smart key are needlessly expensive. Retail approximately 130, online approx 75. Need to factor that to make sense of them charging $400 for a set of painted handle covers.

thank you. Searching different VINs is getting me closer, at least with the occasional note of front/rear.. $550 is the total for the set from BFN... I know the covers removable from the handle, but guess you can't get just that.

Sounds like the prices have gone up a bit.You’re right, unfortunately they only sell it as an entire assembly. They absolutely know folks want just the covers, but there is too little margin in their calculus when they knew they can force you into a $120 part vs universal $10 cover.

Its one of the items in conjunction with the wheels that makes the BAP trim option seem amazingly underpriced!

Assuming your Platinum is keyless entry, the part number for the front doors should be:
ML3Z-1522405-DBPTM (drivers side)
ML3Z-1522404-DBPTM

I bought a drivers side @ $77 online. The rears are quite a bit less, but didn’t get those numbers as mine came painted so not swapping all. I contacted BFN about painting it in case I don’t have it done locally or luck into one on eBay.

Dealer lot guy gouged my driver’s handle when moving it up front for delivery.

Thank you @erixgix I think I'm going to give it shot and see where I land. I couldn't bring myself to slap some covers on it and given vinyl wrap its temporary, I may as well double up for something I can abuse then polish. Appreciate your time.

I just ordered Trim Illusions handle covers for F150, they come in black but gonna have them painted. For $80, can beat it, and if they aren't what I like , later will step up to fully painted handles.

I ran into this same thing when I looked into ditching the chrome handles as well. So glad Ford kept this simple and not too confusing to sort out.

Update: Received parts from Tasca, took about 20 days order to delivery. I have not installed them but at first look it seems these are the correct parts numbers for door handles. Mirror covers included also

Bit of a thread necro, but did you get the handles painted and installed? I'm going to be starting to work on paintmatching the chrome bits on my platinum and want to know if these are still the right part numbers.
