I’m really late to this thread, but that’s what I’m running. 2022 4x2 SCREW XLT with HDPP and FP supercharger kit. I need the payload, and the supercharger seemed like fun.

As best as I can figure, the FP whipple has less torque to prolong transmission life. It also helps with 2wd traction. It’s essentially a stage 1 whipple kit.

The electronic locking diff helps a lot. I’m running nittos, which grip well after getting warmed up. It’s a lot of fun!

Well, mine is 2X4 when I don't have the 4X4 button pushed. LOL I do think that the traction bars help tremendously with hook up. I have the stock tires on the stock steel wheels for now. It will spin them easily, but I get zero wheel hop.

I’ve been thinking about those. Usually I hook, but there are times there’s a shudder back there. I think the stiff suspension helps.

What kind did you get? What brands or features should I look for?

I did the whole RideTech kit with their traction bars. It seemed like it was the best kit.

Rcsb FP700 2wd. I have Nitto 420v tires. My tires are still virgins as they've never hooked up...

I was looking at traction bars initially but seeing as im not planning on doing any track related stuff I have since decided to first getting an Eaton truetrac installed in the rear diff. I wasn't too keen on the clutch style diffs but luckily Eaton came out with an all gear style diff for these newer super 8.8 rear ends. The truck will spin both tires with the open diff but not every time and its unpredictable.

I have Nitto NT555RIIs on the back, and I need to lock the diff to make sure it hooks. My best launches are with assists turned off in sport mode. Hold the traction control button down until the timer is complete on the display.

I’ll be curious how well those tires do with a better diff. I may have gotten more than I need.

The fact there is hardly any weight over the drive wheels makes it really difficult to get any traction from a stop. Ive thought about using a 2x4 or 2x6 plank of wood and making a couple crossmembers inside the bed located over the rear axle. That way I could throw some sand bags or whatever in there to have some weight over the rear end. I dont have the OE diff lock which I think will actually end make it a little easier to install the Eaton trutrac. IIRC there is something that needs to be done to disable or get rid of the components of the OE diff lock when installind the Eaton unit. It will be really nice to have the peace of mind of not worrying about the one wheel peel anymore. And tires that wear more evenly

Did you end up adding the Whipple? I am in the same boat and on the fence about ordering one for my 2wheel drive.

Yep, I went with the 4wd and do not regret it. No way 2wd will put down this kind of power. Spend the extra $ and get the 4wd.

Sorry,I just got up and didn't read the post right. The Whipple is great. Do it. Just get ready to buy some tires. LOL. Mine will spin them thru 6th or 7th and I let out because it starts fish tailing. Keep in mind I have the stock tires on though.

Do you have a lowering kit with traction bars?

I do, I have the ride tech with their traction bars. It seems to work well.
