Seems this won’t work for max tow or HDPP. I guess I should have gone with Caltracs.
I’ll see if VAS will give me a return/refund. They didn't advertise this correctly.
It doesn’t mention anything about different suspension options. Does max tow have a similar spring pack?
Our new VAS Traction bars for the 2021 trucks are finaly available for purchase. King of the drag strip!! These bars are on the fastest F150 trucks in the country!! Our new 2021 bars are...
It’s a 2022 screw, 6.5’ bed, v8 with HDPP
I put the correct vehicle in when ordering, and selected stock as opposed to “flip kit”.
Even if I cut the clip, it’s not going to fit. The plate on top pushes the bottom plate back too far.
I ordered some VAS track bars, and they don’t appear to fit.
Does “stock” not mean stock on their selector? I looked and my axle is under the springs, but the suspension is stock.
The top plate at the front pushes the bottom one far enough back that it interferes with the clamp on the middle...
I plan on getting line locks too. What’d you think of the TBM kit? It’s quite a bit more than a universal dual kit, but if it has everything it could be worth it.
What’d you end up doing for a switch?
There are ribs in the bed so you can use a board that’s cut to the right length. I’ve been thinking about that too.
This guy got fancy, but same deal with just one solid board.

I have Nitto NT555RIIs on the back, and I need to lock the diff to make sure it hooks. My best launches are with assists turned off in sport mode. Hold the traction control button down until the timer is complete on the display.
I’ll be curious how well those tires do with a better diff. I may...
I’ve been thinking about those. Usually I hook, but there are times there’s a shudder back there. I think the stiff suspension helps.
What kind did you get? What brands or features should I look for?
I’m really late to this thread, but that’s what I’m running. 2022 4x2 SCREW XLT with HDPP and FP supercharger kit. I need the payload, and the supercharger seemed like fun.
As best as I can figure, the FP whipple has less torque to prolong transmission life. It also helps with 2wd traction...
To the guy asking about reliability. I’m pretty sure the torque is decreased on the FP kit to be easier on the transmission compared to the Whipple. The description mentions it meets “Fords 100k mile standard”.
That being said, it keeps the factory warranty with the FP kit. The supercharger is...
To make a long story short, the dealer that installed the Ford Performance kit first installed a Roush kit due to ineptitude. They said they’d make it right, and installed the FP kit. They had to replace parts they modified, but didn’t give me a complete list.
Is this the right location for the...
I really feel for you. I had to reschedule several trips after getting the “shipping to dealer” notification for April, May, June, and July.
I hope yours gets to you when promised.
2022, but I like giving people real numbers
SCrew, v8, 2wd, XLT 301a, Copilot assist 2.0, black side steps
Oh, and the tailgate weighs 42 lbs. I removed mine, so it adds more payload back.
Bringing back this thread as I didn’t find a more recent or specific one with the search.
I removed my tailgate and put the caps on in preparation for a slide in camper. I now see a “fog” in the 360 view, or green at night. Obviously the reverse camera isn’t present, and just displays blue...
Got mine today! The updates from Ford were useless, but if you have a good dealer they’ll give you more realistic information. My dealer could have done better.
I suspect the combination I had required shipping the truck to Detroit to get something installed, but I don’t know what. The things...
Some of this is right…
E85 has higher octane, near race fuel. The timing can be advanced further, but I’m not sure Ford fully uses this to their advantage. Is there a stock dyno compare?
Ethanol has less stored chemical energy than other fuels. Diesel has the most, gas, then ethanol. That’s...
I got some more information from the dealer today. The path of my truck looks something like this…
01/04 ordered
01/?? VIN
03/15 Kansas City build date
03/16 Blend date
??/?? Shipped to Detroit
??/?? Shipped to Kansas City
??/?? Build complete date updated to 5/16, but has since changed back to...
According to the online tracker, my truck was built mid-March. The delivery date kept getting pushed back from April, to May, and it’s been pushed back twice again this month.
I hear that more trucks are getting built, but it’s overwhelming their shipping system.
I hope this gives you an idea...
