Speaking of brakes, does the 24 max tow still have the bigger rear brakes? Anyone know?

It comes that way from the factory. Whether it retains said air dam is up to you and your socket wrenches.

lol it will not be retaining it. Cheaper to take it off vs it possibly getting damaged from good ole Michigan roads.

My max tow has two leaf springs and a hitch receive rated for a maximum of 11,000 lb by Ford. About the only time to work about payload is with a 5th wheel trailer.

I think you had to upgrade to max rear axle to get the maximum rated tow capacity. Mine has the third leaf spring, and a receiver rated for 14,000 lbs.
