In my area there are plenty of guys doing this work with an inexpensive spay rig and using the same material as one gets from a factory job. They have been doing piece work for local dealers for years.

I would find someone using yelp and offer them cash to do the job.

Just FYI my 6.5ft box with tailgate was $500 + tax on 6/13/2022. at Line-X of Austin / Texas Truck & Trailer (north IH 35 location, not sure where you are in TX). I'm very satisfied with the job they did.

Again, sincerely wish you the best however you go.

Pic the day done, 3 days after getting the truck home from Granger Ford in Iowa (I had the turnoverball installed at the B&W Hitch factory in Kansas on the way home from Granger - that was only $100 installation there and the hitch price was the below MSRP 'common discount street price'!).

That turned out nice! For me I would rather spend that money on a different upgrade. I taught myself how to do body work and paint (in fact mine came out better than factory). I’m sure I can teach myself this as well. That way I can also spray where others don’t, but should for true protection.

Just curious, where is that?
They stop at the top side of the bed at the tailgate. I would spray mine down towards the rear bumper since liquids and other items always seem to find its way down there right on top of the paint. the same for the bottom side of the tailgate.
