Reaching out to the community on this one. Went in today to get a tire rotation. I have 18,000 miles on the truck. The tire shop said that I have diff fluid leaking from my right rear tire shaft seal ? Of course I thought they were trying to up charge me they gave me the quote just informal. I said it was under warranty and I would take it into ford. Didn’t think anything of it until I brought it home looked under the truck and sure enough my right rear brake drum is covered !! In what I believe to be diff fluid ? I have pictures of my left rear brake drum and right rear brake drum to tell the difference.. there is no way that on a 2022 f150 that it’s already leaking diff fluid.. anyone else have any ideas clearly I’m going to to take it in and get it fixed under warranty. I have had more issues with this truck. Can’t tell but I’m pretty sure it was because they were short handed on parts or the parts were sitting on the shelf’s due to the great part shortage of 2021-22 but it’s getting ridiculous. I just fixed all the electronic issues recently. I can elaborate in another post. Thanks for the help in advance

All seals have unknown lifespan to them. Check your front differential as me and several others had that fail. It could be as simple as a scratch during assembly to create a future failure. Warranty will take care of it then you can move on.

Just a tip, you are looking at the backing plate. You don’t have rear drums, you have rear disc brakes.

Getting ready to go to the store and noticed a puddle on the passenger rear tire. I first thought it was brake fluid but on closer inspection, saw it was the thicker like diff oil. Strange that dripped from the outer side of the rear disk. Took it immediately to the dealership (Saturday afternoon)and they checked it out, then took it in for a recall fix. I should get in back by Tuesday. Added an oil change and alignment to get the one stop into a normal maintenance appointment.

Update ! Ford delivered my truck on Wednesday! Got to love that concierge service. Anyway, The final answer was a recall issue. They ended up replacing the passenger side rear axle,, seals, bearings, rear caliper, pads, and the rear disc. I think everything is better now, but will be checking everyday for a bit before hitting the road.
