Unique Cab Leak - 2022 F-150 XLT

Hi everyone, first post here. I bought a used 2022 F-150 about a year ago and discovered a puddle of water in the passenger floorboard shortly after the first rain after purchase. Between 2 dealers, the truck got 3 windshields and I was told that the leak was fixed. I bought husky matts and thought the problem was gone.

Fast forward to last weekend, and I heard water sloshing in the passenger floorboard. Carpets were soaked on the passenger side.

Dealerships being dealerships, I was told that this is not covered under any warranty and that it is a new issue. The video link below shows where I found the leak after hours of diagnosis.



Now, I am going to cut that messed up foam off and re-seal that hole and fitting. Any tips on what to use to seal this? Not sure what kind of polyseal/foam that is.

Check the forum for this problem and location of two drain holes. One on each side under the hood against the inner fender just below the windshield. They plug with dirt and the water drains into the heater box and onto the floor. Check your cabin filter... if wet..good change the drain is filled with dirt.

I did clean those drains out. Scoped a camera in there as well. They are clear. I am still getting a water leak through the hole visible in the video. Cabin filter is and has been dry.

Maybe a couple of small squirts of “Great Stuff“ expanding crack filler???

I ended up stopping by a body shop by my house. The owner just filled the hole with a 3m seam sealer thats used to seal body seams when they fix aluminum panels. Guy did it for free. Fixed my leak.
