how many miles did you have on it when you got after it ? Yea I’ve been babying mine after the test drive .. thanks again to everyone who has replied to me ..
10 miles on it during test drive but haven’t done it since. Besides, better off if anything got damaged it’s inside warranty perimeter. Btw, these motors are built for abuse more so than most so enjoy it.

Thank you guys for all the advice ! I will take it easy on her until I do the first oil change .. to tell you guys the truth my owners Manual says nothing about a break in process ??‍♂
From my 2023 owners manual:

Breaking-In:

Your vehicle requires a break-in period. For the first 1,000 mi (1,600 km), avoid driving at high speeds, heavy braking, aggressive shifting or using your vehicle to tow. During this time, your vehicle may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics.

What was stated was true. Ford all ready floored your truck to the boards when it had zero miles on before it got sent out.

My cousin just retired from F150 plant in Dearborn
I have the 2.7 EB engine
He described for me the test track that is used to test every new F150
This includes running the guts out of it as well as a high speed trip over serious rumble strips to look for rattling
He said it would scare me to death to see my new truck ran in this manner
So I’d say you are fine
Probably similar to ours. Our bump, squeak and rattle section had 6-8 inch smooth river rocks embedded in the concrete. You were supposed to go relatively slow over those. Ya. OK.........

Then one of our rocket scientist engineers went on a field trip to Detroit to a Chrysler plant. They had a tunnel to drive through so they could hear noises better.. So somehow he talked the powers that be to build a million dollar, long Quonset hut to cover our river rocks. No wonder they shut the place down.

You can still see all of this stuff if you google earth the Rivian Factory in Normal, Illinois. (Old Mitsubishi plant) Google earth is still showing how it was when I was there. Rivian has added onto the building and put in some dirt in the middle of the track which I watched a you tube video of them out there in one of the trucks and I didn't see it do anything we couldn't do in a galant with the 5 speed.

Lol I doubt they will come to the forums and dig the conversation out ?
You'd be surprised. Many people have been denied warranty claims on modded vehicles because they post their mods and abuse all over the internet.

Lol yea that was my taught , I felt like I had to give it some beans on the test drive ! But then I instantly regretted it. Lol how soon would you say to change the oil ? Im at 230 miles at the moment ..
I have never gone over 1k miles b4 first oil change. However my salesman said they put break-in oil at the factory and the first oil change should be at 7,500. I wonder if its true because I can't find anyone else that confirms the use of break-in oil from the factory. I'm at 800 miles now and I feel like its probably broken in because of my driving style 100% mountain roads - Steep uphill and steep downhill using tow mode.

These motors are run WOT off the assembly line.

Ford engineering does not baby these motors and neither should we.

Change your oil at 1,000 miles and give ‘er absolute hell.
