Delivery from Dearborn to Granger

After reading this thread, I may get my truck by Christmas. I ordered on 6 November 2023. Three weeks ago I received an email from Ford telling me I have a build week of 7 October 2024. A build week, that could be 7 thru 11 October. With the build time and QC checks, the truck will ship the week of Halloween. This the time when Ford will be building the last of the MY24 orders. Then the nightmare you all are describing with delivery. I should be picking up my 24 Platinum as the first MY25s are starting to deliver.

Right there with ya bud. Ordered 9/25/23 and built 8/20. Stuck in Qual.

Update: I have been checking the Ford order status site daily. Here is what it has been saying:

DELIVERY WINDOW - Date
9/25-10/1 - 9/17
9/27-10/3 - 9/18
9/27-10/3 - 9/19
Delivered - 9/20

I called Granger to confirm receipt and they indicated that they do have it, but it hasn't been inspected or anything. Fingers crossed that there is no damage and no recalls. If so, then I will be picking up late next week, which for once works out the way I had hoped.

Keep checking with Ford, both online for Order Status and through their Marketing line (800-334-4375). Chat is pretty worthless. The estimates they have don't make a lot of sense, and the information changes pretty significantly.

Man, I'm glad I found my peasant truck (exactly what I wanted) on the lot. Built Feb 29 (a leap baby) and I took delivery May 4, a day after I started searching. I feel for your guys waiting a year. That's absolutely ridiculous, and your patience is admirable.

Well, my delivery window has been changing frequently to be one day later than yours. I even called the folks at the Ford Marketing 800 number later that evening on the day yours arrived thinking they might have more detail. They were pleasant but really had no more information than the tracker, e.g., first week in October.

Surprise, mine was delivered the next morning, 21 Sept, the day after yours. Hopefully, I can pick it up next week, too. But I have already gone down to Houston this weekend to execute Plan B to make my hunting trip by swapping my old Ram for my son's F150. Hopefully, I will hear from Granger on Monday and can abort Plan B and revert back to Plan A

Good luck. I believe Granger will be able to get it ready for you if there’s no delivery damage or recalls. Are you going to try to trade in your old vehicle or how do you plan on dealing with that? would like to trade mine in but I am not sure what they will offer, if they even want it.

My Ram is at 185000 miles and running like a Swiss watch so will keep until it is clear what to do with it.

Flying up to Granger then driving back to Texas with a stop to see family halfway. Then pack up and head to Wyoming if delivery occurs this week.

I was actually disappointed with the offer Granger gave me on my trade. It’s a 2011 F150 Lariat with 190k, but it’s in very good shape. Maybe the mileage was enough that they were just going to take it to auction, hence the low offer? I’m selling it to a local dealership who offered me almost $3k more.

A truck that old with that many miles, just like mine, cannot be worth much to a high-volume new car dealership. My truck is worth more to me.
