2021 Powerboost - got into a front end collision about 3 months ago. Truck just recently finished at body shop and ive got it back on the road. Noticing a half second delay now from when I release the brakes at a standstill to where the calipers actually release. You can normal kind of hear it release.

Wondering if this is normal, and maybe it's just been 3 months since I drove it and didnt notice it originally?

Flip it to Tow Mode so the ICE is running when stopped and see if it still does it.

Did the shop do any brake work? If so might have air in the lines.
Check for DTC's in the ABS system with a scan tool or Forscan to see if there are any faults.
Was yours part of the rear parking brake cable recall? Did you have it completed?

Great point, I checked today and its only on electric mode. When the ICE is running the break releases in real time.

I'll check for DTCs in brake system with for scan tonight, but when it left the body shop we actually looked for DTCs together with their programmer guy and there went any.

The accident / body work was fairly cosmetic with the exception of the radiators and some alignment - not sure why the brakes would have been involved. It may have just been always like this and I just haven't driven it in 3 months so I forget it was like that.

So I got curious and tested it on mine and looks like that's how it behaves.

EV .5 - .75 second delay to start rolling forward or reverse.
ICE no delay.
