Do you have any experience or feed back on those deer whistles you mount to the front bumper?
The problem with those is when it’s warmer outside and the bugs are flying they get quickly clogged up and then won’t work.

No doubt that would get there attention. Tone duration is WAY overkill in my opinion. That seems to be sounding off 70% of the time, almost on continuously. I adjust mine to a 1% duty-cycle.... .050 second pulse (50 mS) every 5 seconds. I think the "abruptness" makes them cautious. Like a hunter snapping a twig in the woods. Two things I think are important... loud enough, and they hear it getting closer. Deer are very good at determining the direction of a sound source. Everyone has seen how deer can rotate one ear at a time, like radar.

How do you remove the overhead console? Do you simply pull/pry down or is there something to release?

Overhead console is the easiest thing to remove. 4 or 6 snaps I believe. I warmed up vehicle inside first to keep plastic flexible. The A-pillar is easy too, just remove the hand-hold cover and two 10-mm bolt-heads under it. Pulls right away. Just be sure to route wire where it won't impede the side air-bag deployment. Plenty you-tube videos on it. More door/floor trim pieces involved to get BodyCM cover off to the right of passenger right foot kick panel.
