Declining “Pulse” brake light

How many of you just “decline” to pay for the pulse brake light? I did this on another car and obviously they don’t remove it. To me it is just a scam. Is ford trying to charge for this on the 2021 F-150?

Can you elaborate on what that is? I tried to look it up, and it looks like something Volvos use, or a third party aftermarket product. I don’t think Ford uses this.

**UPDATE - If it’s what I think it is, I see that on GM vehicles a lot, and not too many other manufacturers. I’m pretty certain Ford does not equip its vehicles like this from the factory. Personally, I think it’s annoying especially if you’re forced to follow it in stop and go traffic, I’m sure it does have a certain amount of merit, though.

I saw it on a 2020 in the dealer show room. However, I think it is a mute point with the camera in the brake light of the 2021.

Here's a DIY pulse controller from Amazon for $10. Some dealers provide this as an add-on (unrequested) and charge $200. In some jurisdictions they are illegal. As mentioned above, just decline it.
