Integrated Trailer Brake Controller

Hi folks,

Just placed a order Friday night and want to make sure of something before it goes out Monday morning.

I ordered a XLT 302a FX4. I included the "Tow Technology Package". Can someone confirm or deny that package has the integrated trailer brake controller?

The reason I as ask is on the Ford build site, under Tow Technology Package, they list trailer brake controller as an option. All the other packages, such as "Max trailer tow package", they list it as Integrated Trailer Brake Controller. I just want to make sure this is a verbiage mistake on the site and not two different things.

Your question...are the Trailer Brake Controller and the Integrated Trailer Brake Controller the same thing or different things? I believe they are one in the same and here is why. The following video links are from Ford. One is on the TBC and the other is on the ITBC. Watch them. They say and demonstrate the exact same thing. I think the they are the same thing.

Pretty sure this is a stand alone on the towing and tow tech packages.
It is a 275$ option, but if you just placed the order, you may be able to add it.

Me, I’m just gonna have the dealer install when my truck arrives.
It was left off the order by mistake, and I did not pick up on it for awhile.
We chose not to alter the order to prevent an additional holdup or price increase on items that changed prices immediately before they started the okay for retail builds.

Simple addition that also requires a software update so the truck sees it and will be adjustable from instruments menu.

Trialer Tow package includes the controller. Only time you need to add controller is if you only order trail hitch package.

My 301 XLT came with a towing package, but did not include the controller and had to be ordered separately.
The receiver, wiring, and sway control were all part of the 301a package

I believe you got the 53b "Class IV Trailer Hitch," which is what Mtnman1 said. 53b is what comes equipped on the 301a.

53a "Trailer Tow Package" is a different kit.
