I have a '22 XL 2.7 that I love. However, I should have gone PB. First off, I have a tiny cargo conversion trailer and the ability to instantly power it via the PB would be nice. Second, I idle a lot more than I thought here in the FL heat, thus I would save a lot of gas presumably with the PB. I think I've been idling in the heat and probably costing myself 7-8mpg as a result.
I barely smell exhaust fumes out of my 2.7, and I am really sensitive to them given my asthma. How are the fumes from the 3.5 PB? For example, if I had my trailer hooked up to the PB and my 6k btu AC running, would I run the risk of having exhaust fumes enter the trailer or is it a non-issue?
While I absolutely love my truck and it is pretty much perfect for me(22mpg+ with 87 octane), I definitely would like the PB. The issue will be recouping losses from selling it and upgrading. I'm gonna estimate and say it's gonna cost 7k total to do so. At which point, it might be better to just get a high end solar system for the trailer and keep the 2.7. What do you all think? I do own my truck outright, I paid it off immediately in cash due to the interest rates being atrocious.
