$121 sounds about right, I think I paid $109 for full synthetic at my dealership. I didn't have them rotate the tires, so I don't know if that made a difference.

I think "Full Synthetic" (so to speak) + OEM filter = ~$40.00

Admittedly I have to grab something to get my old bones up off the ground after getting under the truck. But getting down there is EASY. And the truck is higher off the ground than my high spot. (belly)

!(#$*!@#$*^!@#(%&!(% !!! $121 for an oil change? Jesus Christ!

Only 6 quarts?
I know but I shelled out $60k+ just 6 months ago for the truck. $120 every 6 mo. for a quality oil change seems small potatoes. Notice that one was free :)

I'm pretty sure the going labor rate at every local dealer by me is >$100/hr, probably $120+. Even a quick 30 min oil change, after labor, materials, and taxes is going to easily be $100 or more.
I just had mine changed on my Powerboost at the dealer, using the synthetic blend, and it was $52. Normally $70 but I wait for their monthly special email where they charge $50 for oil and rotation. I figure if that is good enough for warranty compliance, it is good enough for me.

Typically I have found that if you do 5K mile oil changes, IMHO that is more important than getting the full synthetic oil. My miles are not in the extreme driving definition as specified in the manual. Based on the oil monitor, I could go 8K-9K miles before hitting 10% remaining.... Full disclosure, I have ZERO scientific studies on my position, just what I have always done and it has served me well. To each their own.

Now if we talk air-cooled small engines, I use nothing but full synthetic on those 100% of the time.... :)

The 3.5L engine in my 2022 truck can use either synthetic blend or full synthetic oil. Nothing to be gained with full synthetic for the engine in my truck.

The dealers all quoted me $130 for the oil change so I went to a local shop that charged me $72 with my having provided the Motorcraft filter (cost of $6 on Amazon). Paying an additional $58 to the dealer seems stupid to me for the same oil and same oil and same service with the used oil going to a recycler.

I prefer to give my extra money to the local food banks, which sadly are much in need with the current oligarchical structure that takes from the poor and gives to the rich, and not to further enrich the owners of the car dealership.
