Covering only the outer chrome ring on Ford emblems?

I'm looking online trying to see if there is an option to only cover the outside chrome edge of Ford emblems.

I don't mind the blue, I don't mind the chrome logo, but that excessively large chrome ring is what bugs me.

I did find a stick on plastic option but that was only for 2008 F-150.

Anyone know of an option I'm not finding online?

Plasti Dip or HyperDip it. I Plasti Dip'd mine and topped it with some Glossifier. It came out better than I expected it and it has held up great after over a year and a half. I also did the rear emblem and the fender badges.

I tried plastidipping the side vents but the plastidip came right off.

Did it come off when you were trying to peel the excess off or did it come off afterwards from washing or just being in the elements? The first time I did it the "F-150" came out good but the "Lariat" letters came off as I was trying to peel around each letter. I started over and the second time I used a razor knife to lightly score around the long rectangle that the "Lariat" letters are on and just left the whole rectangle Plasti Dip'd.

How did you get clean lines like that?

I thought about doing vinyl but I'm not sure a ring around emblem would stay attached.

After the Plasti Dip dries you just peel it off and any hard lines is where it breaks. I used 3 light coats and 1 coat of glossifier.

What was your prep process? Did you clean with alcohol or acetone?

I just purchased the "smoked" ones....not expensive at all.
