Correcting speedometer through FORScan after lifting truck?

I’m sure I missed this topic, please forgive me. I just lifted my truck and was wondering if I can correct speedometer through forscan?

Thank you. Yes, a much larger tire was installed (305/70R18).

All the information you should need is in the first post there including a link to more detailed instructions on the Mustang Mach E forum. I did this when I got bigger tires and was convinced it was still off so moved on the GPS method and it ended up just reassuring me that I had everything correct.

Or, find a construction zone or school zone that might have a working "your speed is" display and get a rough estimate if you did it right! Obviously, do it off hours...and at your own risk.

As far as I know discount tire doesn’t do anything like that and the dealer is locked out of changing programming from what I’ve read. Not sure if it has changed as a lot of this is 2 yrs oldI

I saw a video showing an easy way to do forscan where you’re not going in and changing codes, just more of turning things on and off with regular language. I also saw on the video in that easy method tire size was in there as well. Are you familiar with this method? I unfortunately don’t really have the extra time to read multiple pages and learn how a program works between work, family and school. I’m just looking for a simple way to change a few things like tire size, then the double honk off and the start up chimes. Other than that I’m not looking to completely change my truck.

Unfortunately, we do not have have the tools to assist with those types of upgrades/fixes.

I use Forescan to make changes to the speedo and use Dragy's GPS to confirm. Just keep in mind you will need to input a smaller tire diameter as a wheel/tire squishes under the load of a truck reducing the rolling diameter. I noticed my truck by default had a setting of 2546mm circumference which equates to ~32" diameter even though it had 2756020s stock which is ~33inch. I currently have 2556517s which are 30" diameter but for the speedo to be correct, it has a setting which is equivalent to a 28.5" diameter tire.

I just did the same last night. I looked up the circumference of my tires in mm. Entered it in and went for a drive. I went from about 6 under to 2 over. Did a little math and adjusted the circumference 1 more time and bam! right on the money!
