Well title says it all. My 2023 FX4 has the stock Hancook FX4 tires and I dealer told me it looks like im riding on the sidewalls/outer tread block but when the tire pressure was checked it was right at 35 PSI.

They suggested upping the PSI, but wasnt sure why the wear would appear like that following factory specs. Anyone else run into situations where you have to run more than stated PSI for even tire wear?

Same problem for me. 14k on my 23’ and it’s very obvious. It’s been discussed on the forum here before, up the psi. I went to 41 in the front, rears look perfect.

Possible, but seeing the same wear pattern on all four tires. I did have suspension work done and they did do a fresh alignment to spec so there is a chance it was off from the factory ? Either way when I put these tires to 35 it looks like the sidweall is literally touching the ground and they are bulging at the bottom.

Oh, I didnt know this was a common issue. I thought something was wrong with my tires or something. Im running 38PSI but it does feel a little bumpy.. I may go down a few to maybe 36?

If you go to 36 psi you’ll continue to have wear issues. 40’s is what you need.

lol I run the factory 18 Michelin at like 44psi. Seems like they're wearing evenly.

My General Grabbers 265/70/18 & Goodyear Duratracks 275/70/18 I run at 41 PSI. The Goodyears are my winter tires and are 11 years old with just over half worn.

The factory recommended tire pressure and alignment specs both lead to uneven tire wear. I would recommend running 38psi cold on all 4 tires, setting your front camber to -0.7°, and setting the front total toe to 0.10°. If you drive aggressively, running -0.9° of front camber and bumping up the caster a little is a good idea.

Running close to 0° of camber or any positive camber is the biggest issue I have with the factory alignment specs. Just shut your driver's door and watch how much the sidewall flexes on the LF tire. Now imagine how much it flexes when you make a turn at speed. This is why it looks like your truck is riding on the sidewall.

The recommended 0.20° of total toe up front is also an issue. I often see F150s with feathering on the outside edges of the front tires, particularly on trucks that are often driven in 4A; setting the total toe to 0.10° seems to correct the feathering.

I only start with recommendations on new tires on any vehicle
Early tire wear dictates how I adjust my pressure
I find on my little cars although pressure on sidewalls shows 35 I might end up running 26
Or the opposite
I also check how warm all 4 tires are running they need to get a little warm for traction and many vehicles need more PSI in the front
I just use a penny to check
Good luck

I air up my tires between 38 to 41 PSI on all my vehicles because they're daily drivers and highway driven.

I'm going to stick with the 38 cold and see how that goes.
