Not sure its been said but I just went with a Moto fab 2.5" lift spacer AND 5100'S. I know you are talking about 6112's but I think lifting without changing the spring compression is the only way not to have a firmer ride than you expected.
If you are considering the M1 struts/shocks
A short 90 days ago I took a chance on the M1 setup after reading the spec sheet and thinking wow those sound like Bilstein 5100's. I went full M1, front and rear units and immediately I knew I had made a mistake. My impressions of the ride after...
No. My experience is that these MF will not settle. Honestly I don't trust the RC documentation or their tech support. My 3" lift was more like 3.75 out of the box.. I had to put the clip all the way down to get 3" . Which ring land do you have it set to?
Oh, I didnt know this was a common issue. I thought something was wrong with my tires or something. Im running 38PSI but it does feel a little bumpy.. I may go down a few to maybe 36?
Possible, but seeing the same wear pattern on all four tires. I did have suspension work done and they did do a fresh alignment to spec so there is a chance it was off from the factory ? Either way when I put these tires to 35 it looks like the sidweall is literally touching the ground and...
Well title says it all. My 2023 FX4 has the stock Hancook FX4 tires and I dealer told me it looks like im riding on the sidewalls/outer tread block but when the tire pressure was checked it was right at 35 PSI.
They suggested upping the PSI, but wasnt sure why the wear would appear like that...
Alot to unpack here. Ultimately ride quality is really subjective and will be different across owners. I am not sure what you can do to soften the ride if the stock shocks and SL rated tires were too rough. I certainly would not recommend going to a E rated tire.
For point of reference, I...
My hope is determining whether the tensile strength of the bolt is the program and updating the axle. Ultimately a full floating axle is superior in design but seems like the bolt is the issue not the axle itself.
Update:
I felt like I owed coming back and providing feedback on the RC M1 struts/shocks. As noted above, my initial impressions were that these rode very rough but over the course of 300 miles and some mild off roading these have broken in nicely. Nice firm ride on the road that keeps body...
I installed the front and rear M1 units on my '23 F150 and I'm conflicted with the purchase, the products and the performance. I've had other trucks including F150 and F250's on Bilstein 5100 and this is the first time i've invested in Rough Country products. I've committed to giving them 500...
