Cornering Lights

Watching far too many reviews on the 2021 F-150 has finally found one review that showed the actual cornering light on the 2021. Too many reviewers would point to the Daylight driving lights and call them the cornering lights. A recent review the person showed when someone in the truck turned the wheel the fog light came on and he stated that it had a bulb that would also show to the side of the truck and turned off when the tires were moved back. I had those on my Cadillac many, many years ago.
I just wondered if these actually do a good job of lighting up the direction you are turning or not. My old caddy did a great job of lighting up the side of the road.

I think they do. It's not the level of illumination as the headlights, but it gives you a little more information. I actually turned it on with my 2019 also using Forscan, although that just turned on the associated fog lamp so it wasn't quite as good. We also had it on my wife's Escape, and that one I thought did a great job.

So if you have your fog lights on all the time with your headlights, then does something else light up when cornering?

In the video I saw they did not show that. I will not know until Hell freezes over before I can test it in my new truck.

So I noticed when my fog lights were OFF the cornering light turned the fog light on when I turned the wheel. But I have not noticed anything different when the fog lights are ON. I have the adaptive headlights so I see the slight pivots there. But I am pretty sure if Fogs are off, they light up singularly when turning.

Anyone notice the driver side corner light substantially brighter than passenger when hitting corresponding blinker or turning? Got my 23 platinum today and noticed the drivers side is bright and I can barely tell if the passenger side even comes on. Could be that I just can’t see over hood well as I’m short but wondering if my one else noticed that issue before? Thanks

Yes, I noticed it in July of '21 when my truck showed up. I never checked with any type of device to check brightness of light, but I think it is just you can see the driver side much better.
