Corner Dash Speakers for 2024 B&O 8 Speaker?

Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my Truck with the following:

mObridge K2 8.1.1 DSP/Amp (Awesome BTW)
Front Doors/A Pillar: Morel Ultra Tempo 692 MKII Components
Rear Doors: JBL GTO 629 Coaxials (Already had them or would've went Morel)
Subs: (2) JL W6 12" in Sealed Box (Been in all my Trucks since Highschool!)

I would like to add some Morel Midrange Speakers to the corner dash pockets where the defrost trim panel is. I have the B&O 8 Speaker system. From my research, I saw @SoundsGoodStereo makes Mounting adapters for the corner dash locations, but are made for Focal K2's. I saw a few posts on here and other forums of folks who have done this with the AudioFrog GB25 and another brand, I can't remember what it was. Anyone have any experience fitting Morel Midrange speakers to the SGS Mounts? If I go this route, I'll have to purchase the Unleashed Defrost Panel w/ Speaker Grilles - Part # ML3Z-15044E82-BB and the nutserts for the factory mounting point. More work, more $ but would open up more speaker choices.

For a simple install, I was thinking about the MOREL MM2 VIRTUS NANO 2.5". I can mount them to the defrost trim panel with some foam baffles from Amazon and stiffen up the trim piece with some CLD to prevent resonance. Like this....

Anyone ever use the MM2's? Any advice or tips on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mounting into the panel itself is the easiest, you can also just mount it like the 14 speaker system does and buy its trim panel (considering this route myself). ML3Z15044E82BB.

Definitely tight!

Have you heard the MM2's at all? I am leaning towards flush mounting them to the trim panel to save money from buying the trim.

Another option if I decide to get the 14 speaker trim panel are the CDM700's. Diameter: 3.5", Mounting Depth: 0.83" (21mm)

Do you know what the part # is for the nutserts that go into the mounting holes?

No, I anticipated needing to drill and use those metal U clip screw retainer things that can be found in a lot of speaker packages.

This is what the U Nut for the factory dash speaker looks like. Pictures of 14 speaker trucks showed a black U nut snapped in place. I went through a bunch of results and this was what I came up with so far. They don't seem like the right part, but close. Called Dealer Parts Dept and they can't find it either. I want the exact part. Anybody know?

Nice! The MM2's are what I ended up installing too, but mounted them to a spare defrost trim panel I had from an old truck. I went this route rather than have to buy the adapter mounts and spend over a hundred for the defrost trim with speakers grills. They sound great, definitely a good choice!
