I’ve got a 2022 with the 3.5. Doesn’t get drove much only 2 oil changes a year as I never hit the 5K miles and change it anyways. I popped the hood today and notice the coolant level was at the min line. I never really paid attention but does that seem reasonabl on a two year old truck. I’ve heard of coolant leaks so that why I’m asking with a year left with warranty. Thanks for any informatio.

Guess you need to drive it a bit and check for leaks

2+ years at 13,000 miles and I topped mine off for the first time a few months ago. Maybe 12-16 ounces. Never a sign of any leaks. I monitor regularly.

I was concerned with my engine coolant. Its color just looked odd to me as if there was an exhaust leak into it. Had a chemistry analysis done on it. Results were all is well. So I keep an eye on it, but it's rock steady, even if at the low mark.

I appreciate all the responses, coolant color looks good. I‘ll keep an eye on it and add a little at my next oil change which is next week.

The coolant is 50 percent water and 50 percent glycol. Water evaporates slowly over time. Keep it topped up. Mine does it as well.

The coolant system(s) are sealed unless an overheat event takes temperatures above the relief setpoint. So evaporation should not be an issue. Also some of us run more than 50% glycol. In my neck of the woods we can see -40ºF and even lower on occasion.

I also see -40 up here in Canada. I have had to add anti freeze to my truck once or twice...not much but some. No leaks....no puddles on the floor...

Well, you're lucky... the freeze point at 50% is -34ºF. I shoot for 70% giving a freeze point of around -70ºF.

I put 100% coolant in my Ram hemi years ago thinking it was 50/50. The heads warped and thousands of dollars later I was back on the road Doh!!

I’ve got a 2022 with the 3.5.... and notice the coolant level was at the min line.
My 22 PB/3.5L had about 30k on it when I noticed the primary tank was slightly below the "min" line. No leaks anywhere and no reason to suspect head gasket. Just topped it up and will keep an eye on the level. Apparently this is very common.

I don't know what type of glycol you use...mine at 50% mix tested to -45 about a week ago. If it gets that cold here.-70...hell I stay indoors.

Are you sure it wasn’t on the min line from the factory?

Mine was in the min line new from the dealer. I waited for 5k miles on the first oil change and it was topped off to the max line. 6k miles later now and it’s still at the max line..

My new truck is near the minimum line.

I can‘t say honestly if it was at the min line or not when I got two years ago. I checked under the hood a lot during the first year as I had one of those bad batteries that I finally got replaced under warranty. I usually look at the fluids and didn’t recall it being at the min so thats why I wanted to ask here. Made me a little nervous with one year left on the warranty, wish I would have bought an extended in the first year with so much electronics on these trucks.
