Chip hold My22 & My23

Ford has no clue what the truth is or refuses to share it with customers or the dealer. Ford chat has no idea when my chip hold will end but still claim a ETA of 10 Sept for delivery. That is in seven days? No wonder Ford lost 3.1 Billion dollars 1Q 2022. Now that I am almost at month eight, I am questioning my decision to buy I Ford product. I have no confidence that way they installing chips in a storage lot leads to a quality product. I also have no confidence Ford will stand behind its product even if your dealer doesn't suck. It may be time to walk away. Paying 70K plus for a MY22 when MY23 starts in October is bullshit. Yes all of the car companies have supply chain issues. but I think some of Ford's problems is due to mismanagement and their electric vehicle fetish. Ford doesn't care because they know if we walk away the F150 cultist that buys our abandoned orders will not be price protected like we are. Amazon knows the status and location of your $20 razor blade order!

That is what they told you. They told me two weeks ago a delivery ETA of 04-10 Sept, no chip hold. Last week when I called they said chip hold with a 10 Sept delivery. Today chat said 10 Sept delivery. I asked if that was realistic since that is seven days from now. No answer. They would not give me a released from chip hold ETA. They tell a different story to everyone. You may need different modules or parts. Best I can tell I am only missing the 720s.

I have my 720s... and don't have a clue what I might be missing or what the hold up could be, but since "produced 8/12/2022" NOTHING. My updated, pushed-back ETA of 9/2/2022 is now in the past. Still... NOTHING.

UPDATE: 9/62022 - FordPass "Activate" button now works! A change at least.... Status: Still Waiting

I was in Chip hold for just under 7 weeks (total time between “In Production” and “Built”) with my 502a PB
I had all my 720 chips from day one with no changes to my modules from when I went on Chip hold until I came off, so I’m not sure what I was on Chip hold for - good luck

Maybe "chip hold" is just a convenient excuse for piss poor service. "Covid" became a convenient excuse for piss poor service. The piss poor "supply chain" has become a convenient excuse for piss poor service. Haven't ya noticed, conventional market checkout clerks have become reluctant to bag your groceries? More piss poor service. First time a Ford salesman told me about a "chip" problem (in June 2021) it was claimed to be due to a factory fire. It's manmade. It's a manmade "pandemic" of piss poor service!

I am sorry for complaining about being on hold and seeing some of your post that was ordered last year and just got built this whole system makes no sense for fact ordered on 4/1 and built on 8/28

Ford doesn't care about us. Last year they sent customers 1k PCOs to try to make up for long waits and generally sucking at communicating the truth. Losing billions a quarter doesn't leave cash for PCOs, lol. This year is nothing for the peasants and you will get your truck when we get around to it. Don't ask us. Ask your dealer that we also lie too. Ford's current advertising for MY23 is comic. If potential customers only knew the bullshit most of us have put up with. Look at the other Ford model forums, same story. I also love the fact that dealers seem to have blue label sticker trucks on their lots now that have blend dates on or after some of us unworthy green sticker retail customers. If some of us had ordered Chevy, GMC or Ram, most of us would be driving them. The ghost of Leo Beebe (Ford vs Ferrari version) seems to be running Ford. Building 7K F150 Lightnings is not keeping Elon Musk up at night. GM and Ram will eat Fords lunch when their ground up electric trucks hit the market. Ford took a F150 and added batteries and electric motors, not a new design. But good news, you can tow a trailer 80 miles before charging.

Kinda losing interest. I have been checking the app constantly, now check occasionally. When it comes it comes.
Maybe it was the 19 hour brisket cook I finished tonight but yep kinda lost interst.
No module updates also missing the dlp modules along with the 720s and whatever else on my 701a lite.
Didn't even check in with Ford chat this week.

I’m right there with you. Haven’t really been checking much. Have watched the chip hold in April and this is identical. There is not much that we can do but wait. That group did the same.

Dealer sent a message this morning. Finally confirmed on chip hold on VVR with 09/09 ETA. He said don’t believe the date it’s very likely going to be a long wait.?

Next you’ll see an “activation declined” notice. That way you know someone is doing at least something with your truck.

Contacted Granger today too, and received the same information. Chip said they have a LOT of vehicles on chip hold and no information from Ford on when those will end.
