Chip hold My22 & My23

Well a little update, but nothing I would bet on. Chatted with Ford today and the rep couldn’t give me an estimate when the truck would be out of chip hell, but the expected delivery would be Oct 3 thru 9th. I find that wishful thinking.

That article confirmed it’s not a chip shortage, they just messed up their supply chain and try to blame Covid. It’s pathetic.

I asked a family member a few weeks ago who is a manager at Ford what was going on with my truck. He called a few days later and told me that it was missing the badges and only the badges. I thought he was bsing me and then proceeded to give him shit for giving me a stupid answer. I guess i now owe him an apology.

951 lines of as-built data. How does that compare to a "normal" 502A Powerboost?

Depends on your options, mine has 1056 lines (loaded 502a) and I’m picking it up tomorrow.
I checked a few at the dealer and they have less than mine.

I do not have Blue Cruise, so I’m wondering if the people with 1,800+ have this option which adds many more sensors.

I just joined the Chip Hold Club today. Blend date was 9/12. Checked with Ford Chat today and was told "in production with a microchip hold".... Was still given an ETA of 10/10-10/16. (We'll see about THAT...)

that part would make sense, I was at 997 before mine flipped to 1812

Hiya,

For orders in Canada is there a way to see things like "chip hold" or how many modules are in it etc? Or do I just assume that it's a chip hold based on the general status and time since it got there?

I only see "In Production". It moved into that status on the "Invoiced" date.

My Dealer is still showing chip hold until 26 Sept-02 Oct. I expect that Ford will update that to the end of Oct or November soon. There has been no charges in my module count since 09 Aug. I have my name on a 6.2 GMC AT4 that is at the plant in Indiana awaiting shipping. The new GM interiors are very nice. Which one will show up first? I am betting on the GMC, they have badges in stock. lol!

Pretty sure that a supplier getting shut down for a month because they released a toxic substance into a water treatment plant isn’t on them. That’s on the supplier.

I did not buy anything even though I wanted to. I never trusted Ford. I was hoping Ford's MY22 would not turn into the cluster fuck MY21 was. I was wrong! Good luck MY23 customers.

Where do you find this information? Such as how many chips are there vs how many required?

Once you are able to see your truck in order tracker you can see the modules. There will be a tab that says modules. Click that link and if you have any they will show up. Mine didn’t show up until a day or two after my blend date.
