I am a novice when it comes to ppf and ceramic. I currently have an Oxford White screw on order and drive a white 2019. I was down to the carbonized or white and chose white due seeing swirls and dirt more. Plus I like white too. As I am learning more about ceramic and ppf I am thinking about switching to grey. Not only cause it's different but cause it appears ceramic would keep it fairly clean. Can anyone with knowledge on this provide me some clarity on this topic? What about ceramic on black, does it keep that shine, does it protect against rock chips or is that just the ppf? Thanks

My 21 was and my 22 is Carbonized Grey and I had both ceramic coated. It seemed to keep it pretty clean and very easy to wash. I’m not sure about black because I have always stayed away from it because it seemed so hard to keep looking nice. I don’t have that problem with grey , so far.

Do you run it through an auto car wash?

NO. I don’t use auto car washes at all. I hand wash mine with good soap and a foam cannon unless I’m in a hurry. Dry it with a leaf blower and they I use Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic to give it a little more shine and it also works good on the plastic and glass.

You should never use an automatic carwash it will destroy your coating
i Know that some of the brushless Laser car washes offer a spot free rinse for final rinse,BUT a majoriy of the water in these type car washes RECYCLE the old water through the drain system using filters. I just dont trust them enough to accept all of the dirty water is filtered clean. Hand wash only for me!
