I have this car scanner app, and a VLinker MC+ reader. Its always worked pretty good, but still I don't know what connection profile is the proper one to run. There are 3 choices hat look like they will work:

OBD-II/EOBD
Basic sensors in OBD-II compatible Ford cars (SAE J1979/ISO 15031-5 standard)

OBD-II/EOBD + CAN and extra PIDs
Modern Ford (Focus 2+. Fiesta, Kuga, Escape, Explorer, Mondeo, etc.)

WWH-OBD + CAN and extra PIDs
New 2024-, 2025- models (Maverick, etc.)

I am thinking the WWH one is the correct one to use? Anyone have any experience with this or any idea however?

Probably the second or third one.

Try them and find out what connects.

I tried the WWH one and it connected, I think because of the obd they will all connect though.

It did have a archived low battery dtc and a TCU dtc. I get the battery one, not sure about the TCU.

TCU could have several codes with connectivity issues. From what I recall Ford broke it at least once and fixed it with later updates.
