Can't use Wireless CarPlay, FordPass, or Hotspot

Took 30 minutes this morning to fix. It was exactly as stated above. I brought a copy of this forum where it stated the GWM configuration and it fix the issue. Thank you to all. Now I need to figure the annoying sound between 8 amd 25 MPH.

I wonder if the dealer performs the GWM configuration if it will fix my CarPlay issues where it randomly disconnects then reconnects on every drive. Maybe worth a shot.

Good to hear, sounds like a fairly quick fix. Forgot to mention in my previous reply to CardsFan that I too had called FordPass and was given a case #. They called back today to give me a code to give to the dealership service center Having made a note about the GWM code CardsFan provided yesterday, I recited it to her, to which she said that's it! Just thought it was interesting the power/usefulness of these forums! Thanks all! Have service scheduled for 6/4/21.

Got mine back today. All good with two different software adjustments. Just took a little over a week to get it figured out. Glad to hear it’s much quicker now.

I have this same problem on my truck, which I just picked up a couple of days ago. Called FordPass help and they confirmed that it needs to go in and have the service guys run the SSM 49826 configuration fix as described by a previous poster above. Taking mine in this week. Hopefully it fixes things because I can’t get my rewards points until the truck is activated.

I’m having this issue where my iPhone has to be plugged in for the Apple car play go work. Also the Ford app does not allow me to start or lock it from the phone. Very annoying. Just bought my truck on Friday.

Do you have a powerboost?
Does it sound like a Whooshing sound?
If you have a powerboost, its a sound that is being made to let pedestrians know that you are there.

Same exact issues with mine. May 12 Dearborn build. I will get them to do that TSB tomorrow. Sounds like that's the ticket.

Thank god it's not hardware, lord knows we'd be waiting forever.

Update.... dealer visit today as per SSM49826 and all is corrected and working now.

Hi All -- FordPass Customer Support called me a few days ago, too. Told me to head to the dealer for them to resolve the issue per SSM 49826). Just took my 2021 F150 in this morning (the truck was built in the date range where the modem issues were present (April 29 and May 18). My dealer's service department followed the instructions on OASIS (SSM 49826) and all issues are now resolved (activating new vehicle in the FordPass app and getting Apple CarPlay to work wirelessly). The comments from the dealer visit this morning:

It’s all about communication. I chatted with 3 different FordPass agents ... why couldn’t they take a second and tell me that this is a known issue and that it has to be fixed by Ford Service? I guess I’m lucky they gave me the code. Now I have to wait for a service appointment.

Yeah — hang in there. My local dealer was still unaware of the issue even after I gave them the code. After they performed the required actions, I asked the service rep if what they did resolved they issue. He said “we did everything Ford told us to do, but don’t know if the problem is resolved.” That was an uninspiring response, to say the least. But in my case anyway, it was apparent that following the guidance in SSM 49826 did the trick — the “Activate Vehicle” button appeared in my FordPass app when it would not before the fix. The app started working properly and Apple CarPlay worked wirelessly, too. So, all good. Hang in there!

Picked up my new Plaitnum yesterday. Build date 5/13. Having same issues. iPhone won’t work with wireless CarPlay, no FordPass and no hotspot connection.
