This is new. I have had my F-150 Platinum for 3 weeks. Frankly, I love it. Quiet, great ride, outstanding tech, and that engine is a beast!

Wednesday, I took a long drive and put enough fuel in to make it to my local station (a Buc-EEs.). Yesterday, I went there to fill up. The pump kept shutting off after about 2 seconds. Went to a different pump. Same problem. Went to a different gas station. Same problem.

Took it into my dealer this morning. They were suspecting that a dump valve wasn't working - you know the thing that releases the air pressure in the tank when you are filling it up.

They called me in the early afternoon. The techs were stumped. They dropped the gas tank, but didn't know how to fix the problem. They had reached out to the engineers in Dearborn, who "normally get back to us within 24 hours". Well, this is Friday and I don't think they will be working Saturday. So I'm going without the truck for 3 or 4 days - a 3-week old, $70,000 truck - because I CAN'T PUT GAS IN IT.

Bummer, let's hope they get back on the road soon.

I have this issue with my Jeep. I have to fill slowly or with only the tip of the pump in the filler nozzle. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it does happen. There is a vent hose (Jeep) on the filler neck that clogs or gets kinked. Good luck! ?

Haven't had any issue with my trucks but with my 2005 Mustang GT you had to flip the nozzle upside down, to fill at any speed.

You have no signature to indicate what powertrain you have. The Powerboost has a pressurized tank, I guess. Maybe that has something to do with the it. It sounds like it isn't venting and trying to vent up the filler neck which then splashes and cuts off the pump.

This is a “do not fully insert nozzle into tank filler” thing, I believe.
Mine has filled up easily enough both times I have gone to the pumps.
It does feel a bit weird to me having that nozzle halfway out of the filler tho.

I recall a YT video where dude indicated a button to press "releasing the fuel tank pressure." I don't have link (and don't have a truck yet) just saying that comment stuck in my mind when I heard it

The PowerBoost has a button on the lower left side of steering wheel to release the pressure and then the fuel door springs open.
