Cabin blower fan Noise and wet filter

My 2022 F150 was making a noise from the blower fan when the truck is first turned on after sitting. Sounded like water getting in and we have had a bunch of rain this weekend. I pulled the cabin filter out and it was damp. I was looking around and found the drain hole in the firewall and passenger side plugged with some leafs. Just a reminder to check this drain. The spot is circled.

do you have to remove anything to clean it out? Or was the outside of it simply covered-up?

Ya I pulled the leafs out and blew it out with the compressor. I should remove the covers and reach in to clean it and check.
