Fair enough.

Does it limit air flow, compared to 'standard' filters?
No, it does not. Remember this is a Motorcraft/Ford brand premium cabin air filter.

Reason I am asking is because of this in the Rockauto link:

while this graphic is very similar to ones for home HVAC air filters and accurate to a certain degree, I have not found any airflow issues with this cabin air filter.

With the swing of ambient temps in area of the country, I have used it with the AC and heat and I have not noticed any issues at all. I always leave my HVAC on level 3 auto. Even at level 3 auto, the HVAC module varies the fan speed quite a bit to achieve the desired temp setting. I do find how this HVAC system operates is quite strange/different in comparison to my 2020 F150 platinum that I had prior to my 2022 F150 platinum. Not saying it is better or worse, just different than previous gens and takes a little while to get used to, in my opinion!

Thanks.
I can tell you, this HVAC system operates a whole lot different than HVAC system in any other vehicle. For example - the circulation never ever turns on, even when it is 99% humidity outside. Very strange. I wonder if it actually turns on when needed, but the light remains OFF.

Over the years I have tried several different cabin air filter because I always felt the OEM cabin air filters were okay but nothing great. I tried a few different brands with different features like being HEPA, activated charcoal and scented. They seemed to work okay but they didn't seem last, so I seemed to end up back OEM. I recently noticed the musty smell and I have already replaced my OEM with a Bosch HEPA filter and it was good for awhile and then same story as others.

This time I came upon the Motorcraft FPP92 - mironAir proTect - I ordered one and installed it a week ago. During install, which is so much easier than the GEN 13 F150, I was comparing the FPP92 to the Bosch HEPA and the FPP92 had much better build construction and weighed quite a bit more as well. I finished installing and I am actually amazing, air flow is the same or slightly improved and musty smell is gone. It definitely does a good job filter odors and particles(dust). I was impressed but we will see if it lasts for the 12 months or 15,000 miles. so far so good... here is details from the Ford parts website and link the Ford parts.

Best cabin air filter I have tried thus far and I hope it lasts! This is merely my opinion and I will update over time!

Any update after about 1 year of use?
Would you get this one again over the standard OEM (FP-92), Wix, Fram, Bosch HEPA, etc.?

I completely forgot to update... I ended up replacing this filter in late June/early July..... I did this because it was going to be very hot & humid and I wanted to make sure my AC was running at peak performance. So I got about 9 months out of it and I replaced with the same air filter.

Yes, I replaced with the same #FPP-92 air filter. It definitely outperformed the standard filter FP-92 without question. It definitely reduced exterior odors/smells to almost nothing and reduced interior dust a lot compared to the standard filter.

I have used Bosch HEPA, charcoal filter and anti-microbial filters and the #FPP-92 outperformed all of the previous filters and lasted much longer. The other HEPA, Charcoal, anti-microbial filters were great at the beginning but only kept exterior odors/smells for a month or two and then I replaced after 6 months max because of reduced airflow. I never noticed any reduced airflow with the #FPP-92.

I definitely recommend the #FPP-92 hands down! I have been very happy and satisfied with the filter especially since it is roughly the same price as the standard filter.
