Got this dent in my cab Roof and curious what the fix is going to be. Wondering if it is something that can be fixed "good enough" with paintless debt removal and some touch up paint.
My fear is most shops are going to want to do a full repaint of the cab since the paint is cracked.

Thoughts?

Can't leave out the part on how it happened... Not sure if PDR will be able to get that out. Good luck to you.

A good body shop should be able to drop the headliner and push out most of it, depending on the inner reinforcement structure in the cab. They should remove the roof antennas as well before repainting. I don't think they'll repaint the entire cab, they'll just paint the roof panel from the weld seams in. It's a clean break point for paint and the color should match fine,

I wish I knew... Had some boards up there at one point but position and the scratches make me doubt that is what caused it. Used a blanket to protect paint when doing that. Can't for the life of me figure out what else would have done it though.

I had something similar on my 2007 something fell over in the bed. A good body shop fixed it. Couldn’t even tell.

The antenna is nolonger sealed to the roof of the truck, watch you don't get water in the truck. You my want to seal that up with something until you get it repaired.

yeah, I'm thinking tarp and body shop asap.
Luckily have a work truck I can drive and this lives in the garage. Not excited to get the quote though.

They were, but with where the center of the debt is they would have had to be on top of the antenna. And still not sure where the scratches come in... Car wash maybe? Only go through touch less so would think I would have noticed a thump.

I don't know if Pdr will be able to get that out considering that it is on the edge and the fact that Big dog Daddy pointed out the antenna being no longer sealed shows further damage. A good body shop should be able to push some of the damage out, but that will require repaint of the roof to match.

Some Bondo, duct tape and a bit of chewing gum and she'll be as good as new!

But yeah, find a good PDR place first and see what they say.
That will buff right out.
