Hey y’all anyone know what incentives or rates r offered through ford on a 2021? Online only seems to show 2022. This would be for a xlt 2021 demo vehicle zip 28412.

Thanks

So it's actually not a new vehicle. I would shop around on my own for best rate with the way rates are going today. Are they listing that truck as new?

Just FYI in at least some states a dealer 'demonstrator' can be legally sold as a "new" vehicle, it's a function of how the dealer did or did not register it with the state's DMV while being used as a demonstrator.

Separate from that, one needs to be cautious about the "in service date" recorded for Ford OE Warranty time-duration purposes. The OE Ford Warranty miles will always be based on starting at odometer reading "0" no matter by whom or how subsequent miles were accumulated.

Demo's are also frequently used as service loaners and usually have up to 5K or more on them when they are sold. Depending on the miles it has it may be worth it. If under 5K and the price is right, no visible damage to the truck then it'd say go for it but definitely consider an extended warranty. If over 5K or they want MSRP and are not willing to budge then I'd pass on it.

You're also going to want all the adaptive learning tables reset with Forscan. Reason is you have no idea how they drove it so the transmission could shift all kinds of funky until the shift tables are reset.

Demo means, “drive it like you stole it”. I’d pass personally.

At least the truck was built before Ford started to force delete some options.

My current 2019 XLT was a "Manager's truck" for a little bit that had about 4k miles on it when I picked it up. I want to say that the previous miles didn't count towards the warranty, but I hit 3 years right before the truck made it to 36k miles so I can't exactly recall; definitely confirm in writing with dealership and Ford though if you do decide to go through with it.

Side note - I got a good deal at the time, but I would never take another vehicle that was a demo, rental, loaner, employee ride again. I came to realize that those first thousand miles were probably very hard on the truck.. exactly for this reason:

Be kind to the accountants now...:)
Unless you can control the supply chain, you are good. ?
The 2021 trucks were fine. No force deletions due to supply chain issues that I can recall.
