I's been a month since my rear window was smashed on my 2021 F150 and I'm still waiting on a replacement. Winter is coming up so I'm thinking about going to a solid window. Does anyone know why it is so hard to find a new window for this truck?

Man, that really sucks. The reason would be the same reason as everything else. Shortages and manufactures having a hard time getting supplies...

Very sorry to hear. We've had supply issues for months now at work and things are not getting better. You might try contacting different dealers/glass suppliers, including some a distance away from you. Maybe try to get a parts manager to escalate the part?

How did it break? Rock thrown by another vehicle?

A lot of smash and grab going on in the country right now. I heard California has a glass shortage because of this. Just my guess.

It happened at work. Grounds keeper ran over a rock with a mower. I figured it was a supply issue because I have been searching and working with the Ford dealer. I'm reaching out in the hopes to find one, If I have to go with a solid window, I'm fine with that. That's better than the weather getting in. Thank you for the info.

I'd gladly have a solid rear window. I never open the back slider.

I had a power window seal leaking and it took well over a month to get the first replacement that arrived the dealership broken in the box. It sucks we have to wait so long for replacement parts.?

Somewhat related, but I've got a fleet Ford van in the shop with them @ 36K miles that needs a new transmission. They've had it for almost 6 weeks waiting for parts.

To make it even worse, this is the 2nd transmission on that van after the first overhaul didn't work. So yeah, supply issues for sure.

Wow, I'm glad he left a note. The guy that smashed my window just left. But, since I work on a military base they were able to track the company down.
