I searched through the forums first to see if anyone else had this happen and was not able to find a discussion on it in any threads. So, here goes. I have a 2022 PB XLT and the plastic mount part for the High-voltage battery temperature sensor broke, partially. We were at a campground and I parked it at night with no warnings. The next morning, I started it up and got high temp warnings on the high-voltage battery coolant system. I looked at the HV reservoir and the fluid was low, so I thought..just get more fluid. So, I did that and when I filled it, the level kept dropping and it was dumping fluid on the ground. I went under the truck near the driver side passenger door and saw that the temp sensor was just hanging in mid air and not connected to the mount port on the inline tee connector on the coolant line, so all of the coolant just poured out on the ground. Luckily, there was just enough of the mount left that I was able to push the sensor back into the mount and then I secured it with zip ties. This worked to stop the leak and the warnings reset. So, I took it to the dealer ASAP and the part number that they said is needed, ML3Z-18B402-NA, is on national backorder with no in stock date available. I told them to not mess with my zip tie fix unless they had a replacement part. The hose didn't fail, just the sensor mount port on the tee. So, I am now driving it with my fix in place until I get word of the replacement part being available. It seems very unusual that the mount would fail just sitting over night. Has anyone else had this happen? If so, how long did it take to get parts and what part #s were needed? It makes me hesitant to drive it, especially to tow my trailer, until it gets a permanent fix. I've attached pics for clarity.
