Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum. I tried the search tab but couldnt find anything but i was wondering if anyone has done the boss 302 intake mani on our newer 21-22 f150s. From what ive looked at theres not a change to the intake manifold just the tb size from changing my intake, and if i am able to run the manifold would i be able to keep my aftermarket s&b cai? Thanks alot yall!

It's been a while since I have looked into it, but the Boss 302 intake REALLY jacks up the tq curve on the trucks. IIRC a 2018 Mustang GT intake is better all around. That intake is based off of the GT350 intake.

I haven't specifically looked at the 21-22 5.0s, but I believe there are better options than the BOSS intake

I'd assume you'd need a tune as well, and limited on tuners.

I ordered a livernois tuner 2 days ago, they said theyl have them till maybe the end november then after that to expect a long out of stock time.

I won't argue with that! Sometimes we just want what we want, I know that feeling all too well. I wasn't trying to sway your opinion if you already KNOW what you want. Just trying to be helpful/informative. I had a BOSS intake on my 2011 GT and I loved it over 4k RPMs

Yea, IMO the BOSS manifold was good at the time but has been majorly overshadowed since 2018. I won't fault you for going with whichever you choose. If cost is a major concern, go with which is cheaper, BUT I do believe you would be disappointed in the low-end tq loss of the BOSS intake on the 5.0 truck motor. Either way you choose to go, good luck and I hope you enjoy

From what I've read, the Boss 302 intake manifold is no longer the way to go, whether you're talking Mustang or F150. Although it's probably cheapest. The GT350 Manifold is slightly better than Boss, and the new Cobra Jet is better than both. But apparently the 2018 GT manifold is best of them all, for a truck at least. Cobra Jet has slightly higher RPM potential and average HP across the RPM range. If a 21+ F150 5.0 has the 2018+ Mustang's gen3 manifold, I doubt it can be significantly improved upon. Unless you want your truck to be a high RPM screamer.
MT has a pretty interesting article where they tested all of these manifolds.

I wonder if the new Gen4 Coyote manifold with dual throttle bodies will best them all.

I ended up buying an extra 2022 truck intake and tb used on ebay, the runners look alot bigger from previous gen and dont have that runner butterfly system (forgot what its called) but im gonna bort the manifold and tb and get it dyno tune, ill post the results when i do
