So, long story short, I started experiencing the deep sleep issue and the "System off to save battery" screen. roughly 9 months ago. Hounded my dealer about it, but they couldn't find anything wrong with the battery, said it didnt seem like it was actually low, but then also said that I don't drive it enough. I do take a lot of short trips, but I put 100-125 miles a week on it and drive it practically every day, so it's not like it just sits.
Anyhow I had been experiencing it off and on for 6-7 months after having the truck for about a year, and while the truck was at the dealer for something else back in Feb (APIM issue and software updates), they went ahead and charged the battery all the way up, and I assume did a BMS reset. So it did fine for about a month and a half, but started having the issue again. I also had a couple of updates out there that wouldn't complete for "interrupted by another process". Rugedraw checked my VIN and said it wasn't installing due to low battery voltage, but that I didn't have any actual low battery DTC's, and recommended just doing a BMS reset, which I did. Truck has been fine since then.
So I guess my question is: am I masking a problem by doing this that's eventually going to come back to get me? Or is my BMS just getting out of whack over-time possibly due to the amount of short trips I take maybe? I plan to mention all of this to my dealer when I get the oil changed tomorrow, but I really had to fight with them over the APIM issue I was having, and I have a feeling they're just going to brush it off if there isn't actually any issue I can show them currently.
