Many of us with 2021 Job one Trucks have really enjoyed Bluecruise and we gave Ford the benifit of the doubt and paid up front $600 to extend our BLuecruise subscription for an additional 3 years !

We have patiently waited now for 3 1/2 month letting ford Figure out a way to push the updates to version 1.4 over the air.

One would think that Ford has some liability in this matter and that they should feel some urgency in giving their loyal customers the lattest and best version of their state of the art Bluecruise software ?

Any other software company that did what ford is doing wold be out of business.

Ford if you have not by now found a way to update our product version over the air then I suggest that you creat a customer satisfation program to allow the dealer to do the updates for you !

Please don't contine to let your loyal customers sit in the dark !

step up and do the right thing !

This is just one customers view !

I bought my 2021 PB Platinum FX4 7.2KW and just got it back from my Ford dealer last week. After I bought it I found out here and on a PB FB page that my software was outdated, I call my local dealer who I didn't buy it from, they ran the VIN and told me that I had a software recall on it. They had my truck just over two days and returned it with Bluecruise working and I got a 1 year subscription from Ford. Have you had a dealer run your VIN lately? This was a 10 hour update they said but the process took just over two days. I'm very happy with Ford at this point.

Most dealers are not competent enough to figure out how to get out of 1.4. They will say your truck is up to date, or it's normal just give it another 3 1/2 years.

Best bet is to go do the loaner thread on here have the equipment sent to you do the update over three days send it back and buy a new battery.

I wouldn't waste your time thinking your dealer can fix this.

To play devil's advocate, another way to look at this is when we bought our trucks in 2021 there was no Blue Cruise 1.4 or any promise to add additional functionality. Even with the $600 renewal I just paid there was no promise or guarantee of added features or functionality everything has been based on the current functionality of the system. I completely understand the frustration and would love to see Blue Cruise 1.4 on my truck especially because I paid the renewal but as far as liability on Ford goes I believe it's minimal

Never pay for promised future updates/functionality. Being a 2021 truck, you should have a good understanding of what Ford OTA rollout is capable of.

Sync 4, Version: 23159_Product, Revision: 915
I did get on the highway, I-69, to test it out right after leaving the dealer. It worked great, I did try to change lanes to pass using the blinker and it didn't move over. I'll probably try to do that again sometime.

In early 2021 when I went to spec out the F150 I wanted, I set my expectations low. Ford is not a software company, they build ICE cars and trucks. Tesla is more of a technology/software company and they half ass build cars and half ass build software. Tesla has yet to figure out their autonomous driving; how am I to expect/trust that Ford figured Blue Cruise software out even let alone OTA updates before Tesla. So I personally decided that it wasn't worth the wait/hopes/wises/dreams to pay for BC/BC ready package upfront.

Now, for those that have bought into the BC tech in 2021, I truly feel that Ford should make that right. They need to program the updates for the technology and give you extended subscriptions.

@Ford Motor Company make @mflynndelta whole!!!

Its more than just an APIM update, you have to have the right IPMA software as well. If you have all of this then there are some settings in Forscan you have to change which enable the features and allow you to configure them in SYNC.

Getting the updated IPMA software gets you 90% of the functionality, IMO. The Lane Change and Predictave Speed features dont add much IMO...in fact I have turned them off on my truck.

You do not have lane change assist. No need to bother trying it. That is part of BC 1.4 which the dealer is incapable of doing at this time.

Yes, but they did not have Bluecruise at all, and dealer got them 1.0 so that is a win. Now if Ford gets 1.4 pushed OTA before their free year is over maybe they will decide it is worth the subscription.

I'm not in the Bluecruise club but I do look forward to them getting 1.4 out to the masses so my adaptive cruise will stop hugging right side of lane.

Mine expires in November and already quoted $800! Not officially, but in conversation over another issue
