Bluecruise OTA Status?

My dealer in KC was successful in getting my '21 Job 1 truck updated to Blue Cruise. The bad news was it was in the shop for 12 days. The tech wasn't able to get past the stuck OTA updates until TSB 22-2150 was released last week. Once past that, it was just the time it took to update all the modules. I wanted to give up & get my truck back but he was committed to getting it done. He even came in on his days off to kick off module updates. Service advisor said he had over 22 hours into the upgrade. I'm lucky to have another vehicle to use so it wasn't a huge inconvenience to me but I know I'm in a minority. This is a huge mess that is Ford's doing & not the fault of the dealers. No way dealers have the bandwidth to support this if there's a bunch of F150's (and Mach E's) out there with this problem.

You definitely found a rare service department. Many of us that have done the updates at home spent similar time working to get it updated.

You definitely found a rare service department. Many of us that have done the updates at home spent similar time working to get it updated.
Yup, I think a couple of things were in my favor:
1. The tech had never done it before, so he didn't know what he was up against
2. He's a bull dog and refused to give up once he started.
My service advisor said there was going to be a discussion w/ Ford over the hours he spent. If that didn't go well my guess is the dealer won't be inclined to do more of these in the future.

I'm moving back to KC in a month, any chance you can tell me which dealership you took it to?

Well 4/20 was good day for me with OTA update last night to 2.5.2. with all updates coming via OTA
build 1 truck Jan 20,2021 delivered to me Mar 22,2021 so I guess it can happen no parking brake set either.
anybody want to buy my ankle weight ?

What is your about screen report for Sync # and revision and is there a date on the last line?

I decided to contact Ford through the chat on their site since my Truck was in service for 22 days. A case manager called me to see what the issue is. She said she was going to contact the dealer and see what she could do to help. 5 minutes later the dealer call me and said they were done with all the updates including BC and just need to do a test drive to ensure everything still worked. Makes me curious if the dealer was just sitting on it. Hopefully it all checks out when I get it back.

I laughed when I read 21G01 and it said 8 hours is the most it would pay all it will take little intervention from the technician.

It says it should only take 4 hours but can take up to 8

Well they called at 11:30 and said they had it all straight, just needed to do a test drive to confirm. They never called back. Guess the test drive didn't go well. :unsure:

Just found out that Blue cruise is a subscription based service after the 3 year trial ends....

maybe the just wanted to get it right? I have 3 recalls now so at 5 I guess take it in?

Just found out that Blue cruise is a subscription based service after the 3 year trial ends....
BC is not free for 3 years. Nav is. They give you 1 year free BC unless you paid up front which most with job1 trucks did not
