Straight to 1.4. A 2022 Mach E reported getting it today, so it may be coming to outer model years here soon, too.

It's been almost three months with no BlueCruise update. It is at the dealer now for Oil change/tire rotation and the axle bolt recall. Should I ask them to update to BC 1.4?

You can try, but Ford does not pay them to update modules just because they aren't up to date. Most of the time, they do not update modules when customers ask for it.

OK thanks, I asked the SA about it and he said no updates were pending for my VIN. I guess it does not go in any real order?

That is most likely a lie to avoid telling you the real reason they won't do them.

Some updates come in a certain others and others do not.

My Service Rep took care of my update, because I had already talked with him about the OTA update failing and he had been working and waiting with me to see if it would work out. When it didn't, he had me bring it in and his tech did it. They were going to charge me $200 for the time to do it but waived it. I think it did not take him the time they initially thought it may take. My truck is out of warranty, so I was going to use my Ford Pass points to cover it.

My BC is set up for renewal in August. I clicked the renewal options and it gave me three choices, $49/month, $499/year, or 12 months, or 1 year $0 complimentary BlueCruise Connected service plan. I selected the $0 plan and it now says 8/18/2026.

I was on the fence about paying for the renewal if I had not received the update by then, so I guess this solves that problem.

Mine was set to expire in July. I went in and looked and saw the 12 month option for $0.00 as well and selected and checked out. Good catch!

Did it want you to enter credit card information? I got the same message and when I selected the 0.00 annual plan it still asked for a credit card

And with the update from the ford tech, magic of FORScan and Rugedraw secret sauce, I finally have 1.4 working! Finally, my wife can stop making fun of me as she has had lane change for a few months in her 2025 Explorer.

I still haven't received BC 1.4 via an ota update on my 2023. I did the free 1 year BC extension though.
